On 13 June 2023, the notorious PMC Wagner left their positions in Ukraine and marched to Moscow, capturing cities on its way. The mutiny has led to turmoil, unrest and, finally, full-scale civil war.

PMC Wagner

• PMC is led by their commander, Evdeny Pogozhin. He uses the situation in an attempt to seize the power. His men are ex-prisoners and army deserters who have nothing to lose and want revenge for all their futile sufferings and losses, as well as to loot and enjoy anarchy. Mercenaries are battle-hardened and well-equipped but have little discipline and no transport or air support. 

Government

• Armed forces of the Russian Federation. The last remaining loyal units of the regular army consist mostly of mobilized civilians, who are demotivated, poorly trained and ill-equipped.
